From monsters and beer history, to California Tower tours, to our relationships with animals and the truth about cannibalism – there’s something for everyone at the San Diego Museum of Man.
During your visit, you’ll explore a variety of unique, interactive exhibits that cover a vast range of human history and culture. Plus, you can make your visit even more memorable with a California Tower tour and a visit to the limited-time exhibit, Cannibals: Myth & Reality.
Guided tours of the iconic California Tower are offered daily, with special sunset tours offered during late summer hours on weekends between Memorial Day and Labor Day. On these tours, you’ll learn about the fascinating history of Balboa Park and the Museum on the climb upward, then you’ll emerge onto the 8th floor viewing deck to see breathtaking 360-degree views of San Diego, the park, the bay, and more. You haven’t seen San Diego until you’ve seen it from the California Tower!
